Frequently Asked Question
General Question
What is Funded Prime?
Funded Prime is a proprietary trading evaluation platform designed to identify disciplined traders and provide access to funded trading opportunities based on performance and risk management.
Who can join Funded Prime?
Funded Prime is open to traders worldwide who meet the minimum age requirement and agree to the program rules and terms.
Is Funded Prime suitable for beginners?
Funded Prime is designed for traders who already have a solid understanding of execution, risk management, and trading discipline.
Evaluation & Funding
How does the evaluation process work?
Traders choose a challenge, trade within defined risk parameters, and aim to reach the profit target. Once all conditions are met, the trader becomes eligible for a funded account.
How long does the evaluation take?
There is no fixed duration. Traders progress at their own pace as long as all trading rules are followed. However, to keep your account active, you must place at least one trade every 30 days.
Can I pass the evaluation quickly?
It depends on the challenge you choose. Each challenge has a minimum trading days requirement (e.g. 5 trading days). As long as you meet the profit target and follow all trading rules, you can complete the evaluation as quickly as your selected challenge allows.
What happens after I pass the evaluation?
After approval, traders move into a funded account and continue trading under the same structured risk rules.
Trading Rules
What markets can I trade?
Funded Prime supports multiple tradable instruments available through the Match-Trader platform. The exact instruments are outlined in the trading dashboard.
Are the trading rules the same for all accounts?
Core risk parameters are consistent, while account limits vary depending on the selected challenge.
Can I trade news?
News trading is forbidden only on Funded Accounts.
You may not open or execute trades within 5 minutes before or 5 minutes after major economic news releases, central bank announcements, geopolitical events, or other high-impact events that can cause unusual market volatility.
Can I use automated tools, bots, algorithms, or third-party trading systems in the Program?
No. The use of any software, scripts, algorithms, AI tools, high-frequency techniques, automated trading systems, mass-order strategies, or third-party/off-the-shelf solutions is strictly prohibited if they are used to manipulate the system, bypass the rules, or gain an unfair advantage. This includes strategies marketed as designed to pass challenges or assessment accounts.
Is there a daily loss limit or drawdown?
Yes. All accounts operate under clearly defined drawdown and loss limits, which must be followed at all times.
Is overnight and weekend holding allowed?
Overnight holding is allowed. Weekend holding is not allowed.
Is there an inactivity rule?
Yes. To keep your Challenge active, you must place at least one new trade every 30 days. If no new trade is made within 30 days of your last transaction, your Challenge may be considered inactive.
Can I hedge positions or trade across multiple accounts?
No. Any form of manipulative or coordinated trading is prohibited. This includes trading between related accounts, account hedging, account arbitrage, copying trades across multiple accounts, or using multiple accounts to circumvent the rules.
Can someone else trade on my account?
No. Your account is for your personal use only. You must trade the account yourself and cannot allow anyone else to access, manage, or trade on your behalf.
You are also not allowed to manage other users’ accounts, provide trading signals, or offer/use copy-trading services within the Program.
Can I use delayed quotes or slow data feeds for trading?
The use of pricing errors, delayed price feeds, system malfunctions, or non-public/insider information is strictly prohibited, whether done knowingly or unknowingly.
What is the Instant Funding consistency rule?
Max Overall Loss is the maximum total drawdown allowed on your account. If your equity drops to or below the threshold at any point, including on open positions, your account will be failed.
Challenge Accounts
The threshold is fixed from the start and never changes, regardless of any profits made. It is calculated once from your initial balance.
For example, on a $10,000 account with a 10% Max Loss, your limit is always $9,000.
Instant Funding Accounts
The loss limit is trailing until the initial balance – it moves up as your equity grows. However, it will never exceed your starting balance, meaning once it reaches that level, your initial capital is fully protected.
For example, on a $10,000 account with a 5% Max Loss (absolute loss = $500):
Scenario A — your equity grows modestly
Your equity reaches $10,300. The trailing floor is $10,300 − $500 = $9,800. Since $9,800 is below your starting balance, the floor stays at $9,800 – the mechanism behaves like a standard trailing drawdown.
Scenario B — your equity drops without any prior profit
Your equity falls immediately to $9,600. The floor stays at $9,500 (initial balance − 5%), unchanged. The mechanism behaves like a fixed limit until you make a profit
How does the Max Overall Loss rule work?
20% Consistency Rule
No single trading day may account for more than 20% of your total profits. This rule is checked when requesting a payout and is designed to encourage consistent trading performance.
How is it calculated?
Consistency % = (Highest Single Day Profit / Total Profit) × 100
Example:
Your best single trading day generated $5,000 in profit, and your total account profit so far is $20,000.
Consistency Score = ($5,000 / $20,000) × 100% = 25%
Since 25% exceeds the 20% threshold, you cannot request a payout yet. You need to earn an additional $5,000 in profit (bringing the total to $25,000), so that your best day ($5,000) represents exactly 20% of total profits.
Payouts & Scaling
How do payouts work?
Once payout eligibility is met, traders may request withdrawals according to the payout schedule and account rules.
How long does payout processing take?
Payouts are typically processed within the stated processing timeframe after approval.
Is there a minimum payout amount?
Minimum withdrawal thresholds may apply depending on the account type.
Can my account grow over time?
No. Currently, we do not offer any account scaling or growth plans. If you wish to trade with a larger capital, you need to purchase a higher-tier challenge.
Platform & Technology
Which trading platform does Funded Prime use?
Funded Prime operates on Match-Trader, providing reliable execution, real-time performance tracking, and a stable trading environment.
What happens if there is a platform issue?
In rare technical situations, issues are reviewed according to platform policies and internal procedures.
Accounts & Policies
Are accounts traded with real money?
All trading activity takes place in a simulated environment using virtual funds. Payouts are performance-based rewards and are not derived from live market trading.
Are evaluation fees refundable?
No. Evaluation fees are non-refundable once an account is activated.
What is the maximum allocation of account size per person?
There is no limit on the number of challenge accounts a trader can purchase. For funded accounts, the maximum allocation per trader is $400,000.
